The wonderful island: San Andrés

I always was a person who likes to swim and spend a lot of time into the pools, the rivers, the oceans and all kind of water places. Therefore, my best holydays were when I was around 15-16 years, I went with my family to a island from Colombia called San Andrés. It was the second time that I traveled to another country and my excitement was in a very high level. We arrived to the airport of Bogotá, and then we had to take another airplane to the island. The flight was pretty long because the island is located closer to Nicaragua than Colombia. Anyways I didn't care because I have the bless (or curse) to sleep in any hour at any place.

Then when we arrived to the hotel, and was the most beautiful building that I have seen, and I'm not exagerating. It was divided in 3 mains buildings and they were in a rock above the sea, just like in the movies.

We went to the beach the whole week that we were. We ate a lot of things, specially tropical fruits. And of course, we walked a lot to know and see the whole island. In those walks, we met a lot of exotic animals, like monkeys,  big lizards, dolphins and a rare kind of bats.

The most surprising thing that we did, was go to a near island known as "Isla de Kem". This nickname was because the people says that it looks identical as the island that appears in the Kem (the drink) commercial. In this island, we got the chance to touch and play with the stingrays that were there. And I'm not gonna lie that was one of the moment of my life that I was most scared. "Why?" you must be saying, and it's because I remembered the case of Steve Irwin, from "El cazador de cocodrilos" who died from a stingray sting. At least, we could return to our home with a lot of funny experience in our memories.
